    John Laryea will face Panama’s Ricardo Nunez on November 1 in the US

    John Laryea, the two-time undefeated WBO African Featherweight champion, will face Ricardo Nunez of Panama in his first competitive bout in the United States of America.

    The featherweight match has been arranged for November 1, 2024, after months of speculation, with Laryea making his long-awaited return to the ring in his first overseas encounter.

    The ‘Expensive Boxer’, who is ranked No. 70 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), will make his overseas debut next month at Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, USA.

    The revised date was posted on the BoxRec website. Sammy Anim Addo manages Laryea, with Peter Khan co-managing him under the world-renowned Fight Game Advisors Promotions.

    The JamesTown-based boxer (13-0-1, 11 KOs) last fought on December 30, 2023, when he defeated Isaac Dowuona via TKO at the Golden Royal Beach in Korle Gonno, Accra.

    The undefeated WBO African Featherweight Champion is presently ranked first out of 22 in Ghana and 70th out of 1686 internationally.

    Other notable fights on the card include Chavez Barrientes vs Brandon Douglas, Deron Thompson vs Malik Lewis, and Alexander Rios Vega vs Felix Santana Jr.
