In order to estimate election outcomes, this real-time data gathering will be combined, serving as a crucial double-check for the official results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC).
Vote counts will be transmitted by observers via SMS text messaging to a central database, guaranteeing timely and accurate reporting of information.
According to CODEO, this strategy would improve the electoral process’s general transparency in addition to supporting its monitoring activities.
As part of the coalition’s long-term pre-election observation, 100 long-term observers (LTOs) have been trained and sent to different parts of the nation since the beginning of October to track the pre-election activities of important election stakeholders at the constituency level, according to Elizabeth Joyce Villars, a co-chair of CODEO.
The National Peace Council (NPC), the EC, and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) are among the parties involved.
In order to support the political process in our nation, “we at CODEO are making the necessary preparations and all that we can,” Ms. Villars stated. She went on to say that CODEO would send out 4,000 polling station observers on the day of the election, December 7.
She stated that these monitors would see how the polls were run from opening to voting, tallying, and results announcement at specific
